INTENDED USE:
The Arrowhead Forensics Urinalysis Stabilized Transport (UST) Tube is intended for use in the protection of fresh urine specimens from the time of voiding up to and not to exceed 72 hours.
REAGENT PRESERVATIVE:
The Urinalysis Stabilized Transport Tube incorporates a preservative reagent that is integrated in the wall of the tube. This tube protects the urine specimen from contact with the tube wall. The preservative reagent contains no mercury and is water-soluble.
DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS:
The Urinalysis Stabilized Transport Tube has been shown to have no interference with standard reagent strip chemistries. The tubes have been tested to ensure the preservation of formed elements commonly found in urine specimens, including erythrocytes, leukocytes, hyaline casts, bacteria, and epithelial cells.
